The problem

Where Shopify merchants get stuck

One price for everyone

Shopify out of the box shows the same price to every customer. Your trade accounts need company-specific pricing, volume tiers, and minimum order quantities.

Manual order processing

Sales reps are re-keying orders from emails and spreadsheets. Every manual step is a potential error and a delay your wholesale customers notice.

ERP isn't connected

Inventory levels in your ERP don't match what Shopify shows. Orders aren't flowing through automatically. Your teams are working from two different systems.

No self-service for trade accounts

Your wholesale customers have to call or email to place orders, check stock, or get a quote. That's friction that costs you repeat business.

FAQ

Common questions about Shopify B2B

Do I need Shopify Plus for B2B?

Yes — Shopify's native B2B features (company accounts, payment terms, company-specific catalogs) require Shopify Plus. If you're on a lower plan, there are workarounds using apps and Shopify Functions, but the native B2B experience requires Plus.

Can I run B2B and DTC on the same store?

Yes. This is one of the key advantages of Shopify Plus — you can have a DTC storefront and a B2B portal on the same store with separate pricing, access control, and checkout flows. I set this up regularly.

How long does a B2B portal take to build?

A standard native B2B implementation with ERP integration typically takes 6–10 weeks from signed scope to launch. The timeline depends on the number of company accounts, integration complexity, and the customizations required.

Can you migrate my existing wholesale accounts to Shopify?

Yes. I've migrated wholesale customer accounts, pricing data, and order history from legacy portals and ERPs into Shopify. The migration is scripted and validated before go-live.
